How to Delete XML Sitemaps from Google Search Console

Did you just finish some major changes in your website? You need to delete XML sitemaps from Google search console and replace them with your new ones.

To delete XML sitemaps from Google search console. Follow these simple steps:

1- Visit Google.com

2- In the search box, add Google search console

3- In the search results, click the first link About, Google Search Console

4- Click START

5- Log in

6- Select the website you are working on. If you have only one website, you can skip this step. Your website will automatically be selected.

7- In the menu, click Sitemaps

8- Select the XML sitemap you want to delete

9- In the top right, click ellipsis (3 vertical dots)

10- Remove sitemap

11- Confirm removing your sitemap
