Can I Use Flat Rate Boxes for Mercari?

It depends on whether you are shipping through Mercari prepaid labels or shipping on your own.

There are two ways to ship on Mercari- through Mercari prepaid labels or ship on your own.

When you use Mercari’s prepaid labels you will be shipping through USPS, Fedex or UPS.

When you choose USPS prepaid labels, the shipping label is based on the weight of the package. First class shipping weighs 0-16 ounces. Anything over 16 ounces has to shipped through priority shipping. You can use your own packaging/boxes or USPS’s priority boxes (you can get free shipping supplies through USPS). However you can NOT use USPS flat rate boxes to ship when using Mercari prepaid labels.

Although, when you ship on your own you can use whatever shipping and packaging or boxes you like. Remember that you must provide a valid tracking number and Mercari isn’t responsible for lost or damaged packages when you ship on your own.
