eBay suspends accounts regularly for violating its community guidelines and terms of service, including but not limited to its health and safety policy.

eBay suspends accounts for expired out of stock items

This post is to remind you to check your eBay listings that have an expiration date, including items that are out of stock, and make sure that they are all up to date and not expired.

This came to my attention by a member of the resellers community, who had his account restricted temporarily because some of his out of stock listings in the health and beauty category were expired.

This restriction didn’t make sense at first, but it seems that out of stock listings are considered active listings with a quantity of 0, and still show up in search results. eBay doesn’t want expired items to show up in search results.
