eBay now accepts Venmo!

Starting June 2024 eBay is now accepting Venmo as a way to pay. Venmo has quickly become one of the most popular online payment apps especially with young people. With over 90 million users throughout the United States, eBay has made the move to attract these buyers to the platform.

By adding Venmo as a way to pay, ebay wants to simplify the checkout experience for buyers. Once buyers have linked their account, using Venmo on ebay is fast and easy with one click checkout. You can use your Venmo balance or any linked payment method in your account.

Venmo is popular with a younger demographic such as Gen Z’s and Millennials between the ages of 18 and 34. Being able to use Venmo on ebay will attract new buyers and increase sales conversion.

How it works:

Select Venmo at checkout.
Sign in to your Venmo account.
Authorize the payment.
Now your Venmo account will be linked to your ebay account making checker faster for future purchases.

To counterbalance the removal of American Express ebay has added Venmo to its lineup of payment methods hoping to expand its customer base, increase traffic and drive sales.
